These terms govern your use of PennyDrive. By signing in, you accept them.
PennyDrive ("we", "us", "our") is a cloud storage service operated as a sole proprietorship based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Contact us at support@pennydrive.in.
To use PennyDrive you must be at least 18, a resident of India (the service is India-only for now), and signed in with a Google account or Apple ID. By signing in you accept these terms and our privacy policy. We may terminate any account that does not meet these criteria.
You are responsible for keeping your Google account or Apple ID secure and for the files and activity on your account. One person, one account. Tell us about any unauthorised access at support@pennydrive.in and we will help lock it down.
You agree not to use PennyDrive to store or share content that is illegal under Indian law (including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, or material that infringes copyright you do not hold), malware, or content you do not have the right to upload. You also agree not to attack or probe our infrastructure, circumvent rate limits or billing, or impersonate others. We do not routinely inspect your files, but we may suspend an account while we investigate a valid legal complaint.
Newly uploaded files sit in active storage, available instantly up to your plan's limit. You can archive folders to cold storage at any time; archived files are not immediately downloadable, but previews stay available so you can browse them for free.
To download an archived file you request a retrieval, paid from your in-app coin balance. The coin cost is shown before you confirm and covers all egress and platform costs. Retrievals are not instant: once ready, the file is available to re-download for 7 days and stays on your device until you delete it. Coins come from paid-plan bonuses, coin packs, and promotions; current rates and amounts are shown in the app.
Paid plans and coin packs are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on your device. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details. Plans renew automatically each month; manage or cancel anytime from your store account. Prices are shown in the app, in Indian Rupees inclusive of GST where applicable.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the current period, after which the account moves to the Free plan (you may need to delete or archive files to fit Free limits).
Refunds. Because Apple and Google process the payment, refunds are requested through them: reportaproblem.apple.com (iOS) or your Google Play order history (Android). We cannot issue store refunds ourselves, but we can supply supporting context. If a retrieval fails on our end after coins were spent, we re-credit those coins automatically.
You can delete your account anytime from Account → Privacy & data → Delete account. Deletion is permanent after a 30-day window, during which you can cancel it by signing in.
Your files are yours. You keep all rights to what you upload, and we do not use, copy, sell, or transfer your files for anything other than running the service. The PennyDrive name, logo, and software are ours; you get a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the app while your account is active.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and may take it offline for maintenance. We may add, remove, or change features; we will give at least 30 days' notice of any material reduction to a paid plan, with the option to cancel for a prorated refund of unused prepaid fees.
PennyDrive is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
While we take reasonable care to preserve your data, we are not a backup service, so please keep your own copies of irreplaceable files. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to these terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay after the grace period, or where required by law. For breaches we will give notice and a chance to fix the issue where practical; for serious breaches (such as illegal content) we may act without notice.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Please contact us first at support@pennydrive.in; most issues can be resolved directly. For data grievances, reach our grievance officer at privacy@pennydrive.in.
We may update these terms. For material changes (pricing, liability, your data rights), we will notify you in-app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the update.
